STOCKHOLM — Last week, a money-hungry Bull Terrier swallowed 1000 crowns and refused to cough it up. But according to the Swedish Dagens Nyheter daily, Tassila the six-year-old pooch returned the money Tuesday, "almost unspoiled, to its mistress the natural way." The day after Tassila's extravagant feast (two 500 crown bills = $94 USD), a bit of digestion and a relaxing morning stroll were enough to coax the first bill out—certainly giving new meaning to the phrase "dirty money". The second bill emerged that evening. The dog's mistress, Ms. Gunilla Gonon-Sabelstrom, was quoted as saying, "They [the bills] are slightly yellow, and I think I'll iron them." Editor's Note: Actually, I think this would call for a full-scale money-laundering operation, myself.

Nobody is quite sure of what prompted Tassila to gobble up the money in the first place, nor is anyone sure that it will not happen again. But any way you look at it, I suppose it all came out ...in the end. §§§
